BEFORE YOU VISIT
The Console Room is an immersive visitor experience incorporating theatrical lighting, sound, darkness and interactive scenery.
Please consider whether these elements are suitable for you and the other members of your group before booking.
If you have a medical, sensory, mobility or other requirement that may affect your participation, please contact us before your visit so that we can explain the environment and discuss any reasonable adjustments that may be possible.
FLASHING LIGHTS & VISUAL EFFECTS
Flashing, changing and illuminated lighting effects form part of the experience.
Visitors who are sensitive to flashing lights or who have a condition that may be affected by visual effects should consider this before taking part.
If you need further information about the lighting used, please contact us before booking.
SOUND & STARTLE EFFECTS
The interactive game contains loud, sudden and atmospheric sounds.
There may also be moments intended to surprise or create tension as part of the experience.
Visitors who are particularly sensitive to loud noise should contact us before booking if they would like more information.
DARKNESS & MOVEMENT
Parts of the experience take place in reduced lighting or darkness.
Please move carefully, do not run and follow any instructions given by the experience team.
Use any designated routes provided and do not enter areas marked or identified as restricted.
THE SET, PROPS & CONTROLS
The Console Room contains handmade scenery, electronic equipment, switches, controls and props.
Many items are designed to be touched and operated, but only in the way explained to you.
Please do not climb on the console or scenery, force switches or controls, remove props, open access panels or enter restricted areas.
If you are unsure whether something can be touched or operated, please ask a member of the team.
CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult throughout the experience.
Parents and guardians should consider whether the darkness, loud sounds, flashing lights and moments of tension are suitable for the children in their group.
Children should not be left unattended within the experience.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Console Room is housed within a unique purpose-built environment and currently has physical access limitations.
We encourage anyone with mobility, sensory or other accessibility requirements to contact us before booking.
We will explain the environment clearly and consider reasonable adjustments where they are practical and safe.
Please do not assume that an access requirement means you cannot visit — contact us first and we will explain what is possible.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
In the unlikely event of an emergency, stop participating immediately and follow instructions from the experience team.
Emergency exits and escape routes must be kept clear at all times.
Visitors must not obstruct doors, walkways, corridors or designated escape routes.
If you are instructed to leave the experience, do so promptly and calmly using the route indicated.
FIRE SAFETY
The Console Room operates fire-safety precautions appropriate to the premises.
Visitors must not interfere with fire-safety equipment or obstruct escape routes.
If an alarm sounds or an evacuation instruction is given, leave the experience immediately and follow the instructions of the team.
FIRST AID & FEELING UNWELL
If you feel unwell, distressed or need assistance during the experience, tell a member of the team immediately.
You may leave the experience at any time if you need to.
Do not feel that you have to continue simply because the experience has started.
In an emergency, appropriate emergency assistance will be sought.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Please take care of phones, cameras, bags and other personal belongings while interacting with the set.
Avoid placing belongings on controls, scenery, walkways or anywhere they could create a trip hazard or damage equipment.
Visitors remain responsible for their own personal belongings during the experience.
CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR
Please wear footwear suitable for walking and standing within an indoor interactive environment.
Take care with loose clothing, long scarves, bags or accessories that could catch on scenery, controls or other equipment.
FOOD, DRINK, SMOKING & VAPING
Food and drink are not permitted within the interactive game or Console Room unless specifically authorised.
This helps protect the scenery, props and electronic equipment and reduces the risk of spills or trip hazards.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere within the experience.
VISITOR BEHAVIOUR
Please do not run, climb, push other visitors, deliberately damage equipment or behave in a way that places yourself or another person at risk.
Visitors must follow reasonable safety instructions given by members of the experience team.
Anyone who persistently disregards safety instructions or behaves in a dangerous manner may be asked to leave the experience.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE
If you have any concerns about whether the experience is suitable for you or someone in your group, please contact us before booking.
We would much rather answer a question beforehand than have you arrive unsure about what to expect.
If your circumstances change after booking, please contact us before your visit and we will do our best to help.
