BOOKINGS

Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once you have received confirmation of your reservation.

Please check the date, time, number of guests and experience booked carefully when making your reservation.

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that everyone in their group is aware of any relevant requirements, restrictions and safety information.

Please arrive at the time stated in your booking information. As sessions operate to a timetable, late arrival may result in the experience being shortened or, where the delay means we can no longer accommodate the group, the booking being treated as a missed appointment.

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & REFUNDS

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or rearrange your visit, please contact us as soon as possible.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time of your experience may be eligible for a refund or transfer to another available date.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable.

This is because The Console Room operates a very limited number of sessions and your booking reserves that time exclusively for your group, making it difficult for us to offer the session to somebody else at short notice.

Failure to attend without notifying us will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will normally be provided.

Where possible, we will try to help visitors who need to rearrange, but alternative dates cannot be guaranteed.

If The Console Room has to cancel your experience because of circumstances within our control, you will be offered an alternative date or a refund.

There may occasionally be circumstances outside our reasonable control that prevent or substantially affect an experience. Where this happens, we will contact affected visitors as soon as reasonably possible and explain the options available.

THE EXPERIENCE

The Console Room includes an interactive game followed by access to the recreated 1983-style Console Room.

The experience includes lighting effects, sound effects, darkness or low-light conditions and other theatrical or immersive elements.

Some special versions of the experience may contain additional effects or altered lighting conditions. Any significant additional information will be stated when booking.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to individual elements of the experience where necessary because of maintenance, technical problems, safety requirements or circumstances outside our control.

PHOTOGRAPHY & RECORDING

Photography, video and audio recording are not permitted during the interactive game section.

This restriction protects both the content of the experience and the enjoyment of future visitors.

Once guests have entered the Console Room itself, personal photography and video recording are very welcome unless you are specifically advised otherwise.

Commercial photography, organised filming, professional productions or use of the location for commercial purposes require prior permission and are subject to separate hire arrangements.

CONFIDENTIALITY & SPOILERS

A large part of the experience depends upon surprise and discovery.

We therefore ask visitors not to publicly reveal solutions, puzzles, story developments, recordings or other significant elements of the interactive game.

You are very welcome to talk about your visit, share photographs taken in permitted areas and tell people whether you enjoyed the experience — we simply ask that you help us preserve the surprises for future visitors.

CARE OF THE SET, PROPS & EQUIPMENT

The Console Room contains handmade props, electronic equipment, controls, scenery and other items which may be difficult or impossible to replace.

Visitors must follow instructions given by the experience team and treat the environment with reasonable care.

Please do not climb on scenery, force controls, remove objects or enter areas that have been identified as restricted.

Where damage is deliberately caused or results from reckless or unreasonable behaviour, we reserve the right to seek the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing the damaged property.

Normal interaction with the experience in accordance with our instructions will not make a visitor responsible simply because equipment happens to fail.

VISITOR BEHAVIOUR

We want The Console Room to be an enjoyable and welcoming experience.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or end an experience where a visitor behaves in a way that is dangerous, threatening, abusive, deliberately destructive or significantly disruptive to other visitors or members of the team.

Visitors must follow reasonable safety instructions given by members of the team.

CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE

Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult throughout their visit.

Parents and guardians should consider whether the immersive elements of the experience — including darkness, theatrical sound, flashing or changing lights and moments of tension — are suitable for children in their group.

Children should not be left unattended within the experience.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Console Room is housed within a unique purpose-built environment and unfortunately does not currently provide full disabled access.

We do not want visitors to discover an access difficulty only after arriving, so anyone with mobility or other accessibility requirements is strongly encouraged to contact us before booking.

We will provide information about the environment and make reasonable adjustments where it is practical and safe for us to do so.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The experience may include flashing or changing lights, darkness, loud or sudden sounds and other immersive effects.

Visitors are responsible for following safety instructions and informing us before participating if there is something we reasonably need to know in order to help them take part safely.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

WAIVER

Visitors may be asked to read and acknowledge important safety and participation information before entering the experience.

Any acknowledgement or waiver is intended to confirm that visitors understand the nature of the experience and agree to follow its rules.

It does not remove any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Visitors remain responsible for their own personal belongings during their visit.

Please take particular care of phones, cameras and other personal items when interacting with the set.

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings except where that loss or damage results from something for which we are legally responsible.

SHOP & PRE-ORDERS

Some merchandise may be available to pre-order through the website for collection during your visit.

Submitting a merchandise request reserves the requested item where stock is available but does not constitute an online payment.

Unless otherwise stated, payment for collection orders is made when you visit using one of the payment methods offered at that time.

Pre-ordered merchandise should be collected during the visit or date specified in the order request.

Product appearance may vary slightly from photographs shown on the website.

WEBSITE & EXTERNAL LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including booking, social media, media coverage and retail websites.

These external websites are operated independently and have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party websites.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & INDEPENDENT FAN EXPERIENCE

The Console Room is an independent, fan-created experience.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by or associated with the BBC or BBC Studios.

Doctor Who, TARDIS and other associated names, characters and intellectual property belong to their respective rights holders.

Original material created specifically for The Console Room, including original written material, photographs, website content and original elements of the interactive experience, remains the intellectual property of its respective creator or rights holder.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms & Conditions occasionally to reflect changes to the experience, booking arrangements or legal requirements.

The version published on this website at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking.
